Thank you, Matthew, for doing such a great job on our website. You had to design it from the bottom up and we appreciate how you know your stuff. You did a great job at communicating and keeping us posted on your progress, as we always knew where we stood and how it was going. Thanks again for the continuing work on it as well!

Intro
My client interaction with Craigsland.com have been one of my greatest successes. I believe this is partly because of the documentation and planning that went into the project. An example of this would be the requirements Document I generated for this project.
What is the importance?
The importance of this of this requirements document is that it is an inclusive requirements document that covers everything from logo and brand creation to website design and maintenance. This shows that if the situation calls I can meet with a client and discuss requirements and design. For a company such as DIGOP, who I looking at heavily, they have a business analyst start the process with the clients, however the developer have a high interaction with the client. If a problem can be solved with the BA the BA is left out and this can be a valuable skill when working for a smaller company or a start up.
What skills were acquired?
The major skill that was acquired when I created this document was requirements gathering. I Had several meeting with the client and interpreted the requirements they gave me and the ideas they had into a full requirements document representing the whole project. Another skill that I gathered was thoroughness. By this I mean that this document would serve as a contract between myself and the client so it had to be very thorough because I did not want to get stuck with doing more work than what I was getting paid for.
What went well.
Once again another artifact comes back to this but the thing that went amazing was my interaction with the client. We had several meeting and I was able to interpret the requires and design idea they gave me and reach a happy medium of what they wanted and what they could afford. Also the whole creation of the document went well. I have pretty strong writing skills so the creation was rather easy once I had the ideas behind the document finalized. I was able to take the information and present it in an easy to read and understand format.
What should to change.
While I think that I did a good job of making the document thorough I think that there is much to improve on. One thing that I would have liked to do would be to take this requirements document to a lawyer and have them look over it. I am sure that there are plenty of legal whole in the document and I would like to be able to patch those and get some form of idea of that a sound legal requirements document would look like. In addition I would like to practice creating them more often so that I can become more proficient at understanding the clients need and wants.
